The best thing about an outdoor wedding is that it capitalizes on the beauty of nature. Lush greenery, flowers and even the natural beauty of the beach make a beautiful backdrop for your special day. Top Ten Tips To Help You Plan Your Wedding On A Budget

May 24th, 2009 by Orlando LDS Weddings | No Comments | Filed in Wedding Articles

1. Create a budget so that you’re not still paying off for your dream wedding when the kids have left home.

By making a simple list of the things that need to be bought/paid for and the date payment is due by, enables you to clearly make a note of what the bride will pay for and what the groom will pay for. Leaving the rest blank will give loving friends and family the opportunity to contribute towards your special day if they so wish and are able to.

2. Create 3 Budget amounts:

a. Your preferred budget

b. The budget you can live with

c. Your maximum budget ceiling amount.

This allows you to see what you can and cannot live without. Result: you will totally feel comfortable with the amount you do actually spend as you’ve really thought it through. (more…)

Guide To Write Or Edit Your Wedding Vows

May 4th, 2009 by Orlando LDS Weddings | No Comments | Filed in Wedding Articles

Whether you’re getting married in Orlando or on Hawaii, on the beach or in a church, one thing is for sure: you are going to be promising something to your partner. So how do you go about finding the right words? It seems like such a daunting task many decide to leave the job to a minister, but it doesn’t need to be so overwhelming. Here are a few simple guidelines to follow:

  • Don’t get pressured into promising anything that you’re not ready to. If you’re not sure, then don’t postpone the whole wedding, just rearrange the words until you are sure. No one ever said you had to say or do anything specific. There are no rules (you don’t even have to say “until death do us part”!) - it’s your wedding. Your vows should reflect you, not your family or church unless that’s also what you believe. Avoid doing thing because someone else wants you to. (more…)
